About Vehicle Movement Specialists
Jack Froggatt created Vehicle Movement Specialists and began trading in 1985 and after an initial period of two years continuing growth acquired a limited company. Valna Ltd. trading as Vehicle Movement Specialists was established in 1987 operating from premises in Lingfield, Surrey where for the first time secure vehicle storage was offered to customers.
The company soon built a reputation for an efficient reliable service for dealers and rental companies throughout the United Kingdom.
Continuing expansion over the next three years culminated with a move to larger premises to Portsmouth in 1990. By this time the company had built a name that was well known throughout the vehicle industry for an efficient and quality service to all it’s customers.
Vehicle Movements is now regarded as the leading choice when our customers are asked to recommend a reliable commercial vehicle movement company. Following the acquistion of the customers of JW Deliveries based at Fareham Hampshire in 1990, Jack Froggatt used this base to form a new company.
Motorscope Limited formed and traded from the same premises. It successfully kept and expanded the client base and moved to much larger premises in Hilsea Portsmouth in November 1990 Joining its sister company Vehicle Movements Specialists. Motorscope Limited soon became the premier choice for fleet managers, when looking for efficient reliable caring service being able to handle bodywork, servicing, MOTs on behalf of them through our network of approved suppliers offering a major advantage that other delivery companies can only envy.
Due to the demise of the Independent Insurance Company in July 2001 who had been are main insurers since 1989 and difficulty in acquiring cover for both companies Motorscope Ltd was shelved and all work completed and invoiced through Vehicle Movement Specialists. To keep pace with the expanding client base both companies relocated to our current purpose built offices with secure storage facilities and valet bay in 1997 at a new site in Portsmouth.
Recent installation of a new computerised system and bespoke software has prepared them for the forthcoming Millennium with the aim to still further improve and expand customer service, still out there cutting costs!
